If you have 4MB RAM or more in your computer or if you have trouble using the DOS32a version then you need to use the DOS4GW version.

All you have to do is to copy the content of the VBUSTER\HUN\DOS directory from the CD onto your computer or download the program from our web site and extract it to a given directory.

Important!!! If it's possible don't use special caracters and long file names in the directory where you copy and extract the program to, as it could prevent faster and smoother access under the DOS operating system.

Start the vbcons.exe from the program's directory, then a small grafical window will appear, where the first two field contain the registration details.
When you have filled these details in you can save your settings and exit the program by pressing the F10 key or press ESC to leave the program without saving.

Important!!! If you copy the program from the CD you have to change the file attributes as the files become read only after the copy. You could do this with a help of a file manager program or the attrib command (eg. in the program's directory with the following command: attrib -r *.*).

This is a command line scanner program, to use it you have to run the vbuster.exe program and set all the parameters.
You can get more details on these parameters and switches by runing the program with the "-?" switch. (eg.: vbuster -?)
The result of the scan will be displayed after the scan, but to help to keep track of what the program has done, it creates a vbuster.log file in the program's directory, it logs all messages appearing during the scan into this file.

Usefull switches:
-kk: kill killable viruses
-ss: super silent mode - only logs virus detection
-t : full scan

All you have to do is to copy the virus database file (vbuster.vdb) into the program's directory with over writing the old file.
This file can be found on our CD, in the VBUSTER\HUN\DOS directory or you can download the vdb7.exe file from our web site, which also contains this file.
